Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Originally and tellingly titled Jane Eyre: an autobiography - the book follows the growth of the eponymous Jane Eyre from age ten to about thirty, and the story of her life. During the years she experiences more than a fair share of cruelty and misfortune, but also friendship and romance, in situations and locations closely resembling those the author herself is known to have experienced in her youth.
We include a section on Charlotte Brontë's life and background, including select chapters from the biography written by her close friend Elizabeth Gaskell after her death, originally published in 1857. The book comes in 170x240mm format with hard cover, striking red foil details and red coloured paper edges, designed by Piëtke Visser in Helsinki.
